NEW COVENANT MINISTRIES

The Ministry of Reconciliation

The New Covenant Ministries of the World, Inc. is an organization established upon the principles of the doctrine of the New Covenant.

The New Covenant is derived from prophecy—specifically, prophecy that pertains to the fundamental practices required for the time that is now appointed (Jeremiah 31:31–32; 32:38, 40).

The New Covenant Ministry is God’s end-time strategy to reconcile mankind back to Himself. It is the Ministry of Reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18–19).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

— John 3:16

Brief History of the Ministry

The New Covenant Ministries of the World, Inc. was publicly presented in 1956 under the name The Holiness Churches of God. At age 19, Woodie Thomas Traylor was invited to attend a soul-saving revival, where he was saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, and shortly thereafter called into the ministry. In a small country town called Yantley, Alabama, W. T. Traylor began this ministry with sixty members in an abandoned elementary school partly furnished with bales of feeding hay.

As the membership grew, the organization’s name was changed to The Holiness Churches of God of the Apostolic Faith United. Now serving as Bishop of the ministry, W. T. Traylor recognized the need to further expand the work. God moved mightily in the initial states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia.

Because of greater scriptural insight, in 1986 the organization’s name was changed to The New Covenant Ministries of the World, Inc. In 1985, God divinely appointed to this ministry the gift of a National Mother. With the leadership team now in place and in the spirit of restoration, in 1986 Bishop W. T. Traylor publicly announced his calling as a true Apostle to the Body of Christ.

Under Apostolic leadership, The New Covenant Ministries has grown to include twenty-six churches and missions. Additional states now include Texas, Florida, and Virginia. The headquarters for the ministry is located in Alexander City, Alabama.

The Minister’s Council serves as a spiritual council to guiding, instructing, and supporting the ministers of Jesus Christ. Rooted in prayer, wisdom, and the Word of God, the Council provides counsel on matters of ministry, doctrine, and service, ensuring that every minister continues to walk faithfully in their divine calling.

Through seminar, messages, and collective discernment, the Ministers Council seeks to strengthen unity among ministers, uphold biblical standards, and equip leaders to serve the body of Christ with integrity and excellence.
